Would you like to learn how to work with various types of wood such as Red Cedar, Black Walnut, Black Locust, or Honey Locust? At Seeds of Eden, we have partnered with Lakota Native American Outreach (LNAO) from Pine Ridge, SD–a ministry dedicated to the gospel of Jesus Christ and to developing skills within young men, to build a carpentry program for individuals who want to learn and master the craft of wood carpentry! It is a form of ministry, therapy, and productivity! Carpenters are known to construct, repair, and install building frameworks and structures made from wood and other materials. Here at Seeds of Eden, we learn to hand-craft wooden crosses, novelty furniture, or other things. We do our best to “put God’s talents to work” and to create something beautiful out of the rugged, raw materials from God’s green earth. Wood carpentry is slowly being implemented in our mens’ recovery homes, and we look forward to seeing God’s talent at work, to bless the public and our respective communities.
